Anti-Narcotics and Drug Enforcement

Sri Lanka's nationwide anti-narcotics mission 'A Nation United' (Ratama Ekata) has seized over 22,000 kg of drugs and arrested more than 310,000 suspects within one year. The campaign sends a strong message against drug dealing and drug use.

"22,000 kg seized and 310,000 arrests—sounds impressive until you realize that's basically playing whack-a-mole while the mole factory is working overtime. Pretty sure at this point the drug dealers have a loyalty card at the police station."
